Control Unit

The control unit is a single airflow pump that delivers 8 to 12 liters per minute.

• It has a user-friendly control panel with dome keys and an LED display.

• Patient comfort pressure level from Soft 0 to Firm 0 (7 ± 5 mmHg to 32 ± 5 mmHg).

• The micro-controller shuts off the pump once the desired patient comfort pressure is obtained.

• It provides an effective static or alternating pressure mattress.

• Lockout key can be used to completely lock the control panel to eliminate the tampering of patient settings, including the power switch.

K-0 OEM ECO-AIRE™ Alternating Pressure System consists of the Control Unit and the Smart Support Surface™. Alternating Pressure therapy uses pressure redistribution to stimulate blood flow. The air cells on the mattress will slowly inflate and deflate under the patient at a predetermined or adjustable cycle time to allow for blood flow to reach the skin healing.

Smart Support Surface™

The Smart Support Surface™ (SSS) provides real-time and accurate patient interface pressure below capillary occlusion with enhanced Alternating Pressure therapy and comfort.

The therapeutic SSS consists of:

• Superior quality, urethane coated nylon air cushions, to provide effective Alternating Pressure therapy with low interface pressures.

• Low friction and low shear-force producing 2” convoluted safety foam base pad, which is a highly vapor permeable urethane coated breathable nylon. This provides additional support to the patient in the event of power failure.

• The air cells in the mattress are connected to the manifold using quick connectors and fastened to the base.

• Light-weight support surface can be rolled up, and has two handles which can be used to carry by hand or over the shoulder.

Foam Aire

The K-0 OEM FAM Mattress has a fire-barrier Kevlar lining with a multi-ply viscous foam top layer and hard perimeter bolster which houses the foam-filled air cells. Its complete support surface is made of superior quality materials and is modularly constructed.

All of the components, such as manifold, tubing assemble, air cushions, top sheet, and foam base are interchangeable and can easily be cleaned or detached for laundry.
